AP: Nov 4, 2008: Incumbent Glen City Mayor Mike Lindsey, running for a second term, easily won re-election. Residents turned out in droves to overwhelmingly support one of Glen City's founding fathers. In fact, exit polls indicated that 99% of Glen City citizens voted. Pollsters had predicted a close election, but voters had them fooled in this landslide victory for the reigning mayor. Some constituents said that Lindsey's BBQ pork barrel platform was a deciding factor in swaying their vote, while others said they simply voted for the lesser of two evils. Glen City Fall Festival
Thanks to everyone who participated in the second annual Glen City Fall Festival. Although it was a "chili" afternoon, we all had a great time and shared a lot of delicious food.
