AP: Nov 4, 2008: Incumbent Glen City Mayor Mike Lindsey, running for a second term, easily won re-election. Residents turned out in droves to overwhelmingly support one of Glen City's founding fathers. In fact, exit polls indicated that 99% of Glen City citizens voted. Pollsters had predicted a close election, but voters had them fooled in this landslide victory for the reigning mayor. Some constituents said that Lindsey's BBQ pork barrel platform was a deciding factor in swaying their vote, while others said they simply voted for the lesser of two evils.
